1) Imagine - John Lennon
2) Mull of Fucking Kintyre - Wings
3) Eternal Flame - The Bangles (buy any '80s / ballads / "soft rock" compilation CD and chances are this'll be on it)
4) Centrefold - J. Geils Band (another piece of crap that seems to find its way onto countless compilation CDs)
5) Feels Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
6) Like A Virgin - Madonna
7) Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen (a revelation in '75 but it's been so done to death since to the point that I can't listen to it any more)
8) Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper (a poor man's Madonna)
9) Three Times A Lady - Commodores
10) She Loves You (yeah, yeah, yeah, woooooooo) - Beatles (possibly THE most overrated band ever??)
11) I Feel Good - James Brown
12) Jesus To A Child - George Michael (music to slash your wrists to)
13) Wonderwall - Oasis (another massively overrated bunch of charlatans with their heads very firmly up their own arses)
14) Su-Su-Sudio - Phil Collins
15) Walking Back To Happiness - Helen Shapiro (an oldie but baddie)

If anything, the Clash's second album, 'Give 'em enough Rope' was the sell-out as it was over produced by American producer, Sandy Perlman, it went against everything punk was about. The REAL punk phenomena had 'died' by 1978 with friendly new wave music, because of this, Strummer and Jones went back to their initial appreciation of music with Jazz, Folk, Soul and Punk and re-defined their music, hence London Calling which is nothing less than a classic.

Spot on with this part though.....I can't stand some of the songs mentioned, however, they are classics and I doubt thta ANYONE on this forum could come up and write/arrange/record/produce and distribute with anything close to what would be deemed as a classic song
