I heard he was a nice guy though and he is definitely one of the best songwriters. He made me like that three pick-up Les Paul he used to play. (Les Paul Deluxe)[IMG]

Yeah. I liked them too. I looked over that child porn stuff though. I still wonder how Pete got off and R. Kelly is still looking to go to trial? Must be the money. I have to admit y'all a lot closer to Pete than I am since I'm stateside.

I remember the docu when they arrested him and he was at the police station and he looked like 'its all over for me'.......he was absolutely terrified. Wasn't it strange how this 'project' he was working on never materialised on any of the PCs they examined, nor has anything come of it since.
A VERY lucky man!!!.........and he can still play a bit, too!!

The Who are the 3rd best rock band in the world ever,
1) Pink floyd
2) Led Zep
I didn't see any other bands people harp on about invited to Live 8 and wipe the floor with everyone else, then again I think U2 are shit so go figure

I don't know what's meant buy a "serious" who fan ( do you need a badge or something?) But I liked it, even on first listen, not great, but It's good, couple of standout tracks, not keen on Pete singing it that wierd fucking voice on one of the tracks, but it's ok.

Townshend "got off with it" because he was guilty of accessing the site -which he admitted- but did not download/create/copy any images from it, therefore he could not be charged with making the images (or whatever they call the charge used against paedo's caught with computer images of child abuse). I'm 100% sure the CPS would have thrown the book at him if they could have due to the fact they love to have the big names and all the publicity that generates. I also believe he is telling the truth in his reasons why and that his autobiography wil materialise with the reasons why; and let's face it if a knuckle head like Daltrey even thought Townshend was "one of them" there would be no Who cd or tour.
R Kelly as far as I'm aware is being charged with shagging a girl who was below the age of consent for which there is video evidence.... what that makes him I'm uncertain, 40 years ago it would have made him "one of the lads" in that many of our rock heroes shagged groupies that were a little underage and that didn't make em paedo's, but that was then and this is now.
Ask Elvis!

Sorry Arnold, got to differ, your taste is normally impeccable but his album has no stand out tracks, it is bland, badly played, and the vocals are very weak. I have let 2 other Who fans listen to it and neither has got past track 4 before switching off. An album too far for my tastes.
