As the Church invented Limbo it is up to them to remove it from their belief system - and apologise for the grief the invention has brought to millions, though I wouldn't hold your breath.

Both the Mafia and the Catholic church came out of Italy and I still think they are as bad as each other.

In fact the Catholic church probably has more blood on its hands than the Mafia.

Sam - if God was real, we wouldn't need religion! If the old man was prepared to show his face in public, the church/mosque/temple would be redundant.

Yes, without a doubt. On a tangent, there's a documentary charting the rise of the modern Italian mafia that appears on TV from time to time. The mafia was pushed to power by US troops who invaded Italy in WW2. As they liberated each town and city, they appointed a local gang leader as mayor, to prevent the communists from gaining power (communism was very popular in Italy back then). These gang leaders were mafiosi, and the problem eventually came back to bite the Yanks when the mafia moved in to the States.
