i always thought most at the bbc were a bit snobby anyway eg blue peter presenters etc.Keith Rasputin wrote:

My dad had to demonstrate some gas chromatography equipment on TW in the early 70's. He said Baxter was pretty well clued up, and very professional. He was quite impressed with him.

Anyway, Baxter did more than his bit in the war, and I respect him for that, and he was a strong supporter of British industry and manufacturing.
