Caractacus,
Wishful thinking on your part if you ever imagine a British Prime will ever be wearing handcuffs. No, there will be loyal scapegoats.
The truth is that he conspired with Bush and others to illegally invade a sovereign state Iraq to ward off a crash bigger than 1933, that was nevitable unless the US economy secured oil. Saddam's crime was that he started to issue oil prices in Euros per barrel instead of US Dollars. In fact MI5 told him that Saddam had no WMD.

My Dog, by the way T.B. is doing his crap in Government, any1 could do better, even my 12 yr old Staffordshire Bull Terrier X-Breed.
At least with my Dog, she does her crap on the lawn out the back, & NOT on behalf/at the expense/ of every1s Tax Payments.

I was thinking more along the lines of the cash for peerages, Mike, which has his fingerprints all over it. The Labour Party treasurer wasn't involved, Brown and Prescott were deliberately kept out----it was Tony's baby. And if there are any criminal charges as a result of the inquiry, it'll be Tone and his mate Levy left carrying the can.
But, as you say, wishful thinking.

Sam,
I think that we should nominate a UK Chief Executive on a new TV show called Pick your Leader and hand over the job to someone who wants the job, fame and publicity.

Indeed but the tragedy is the alternative is alarmingly bad or even worse. What a sad, pathetic state this cuntry (not a spelling mistake) is in.

Why not? Leaders these days are just faces anyway. They only make decisions based on other peoples opinions & advice. They don't have as much power as we're led to believe!
So we've got the format sorted and we'll call it 'Pick a Priminister!' Who's going to host the show? Jeremy Paxman?
