During one of David Gilmours recent concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, David Bowie made an appearance and sang See Emily Play.

His stuff may be Sooo dated but the band he was part of became Sooo great. Whish You Were Here is one of the best albums ever.

It took the Floyd a good five years to blossom after Syd left (other than Meddle in 71)

Atom Heart Mother? Ummagumma? Obscured By Clouds? More? Some good tracks but most were reworked years later for Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here albums.

Syd's Floyd were completely different. A gem of an album even today. A trip to somewhere else. And still original.

This is terrible but I thought he was already dead.
Early Floyd I don't mind but somewhere along the line they got so boring. Probably after Waters left.

he was a junkie waster, and contributed zilch to Floyd's great works i.e. DSOTM and WYWH.can't understand all the fuss.
