Ive only got a freeview box and I was happy with the repeats of Minder and the Sweeney on Men and Motors,
its the new wave of fecking phone-in-quiz-crap of
Itv play and the like, that I hate.
Still Film 4 going free this month should be good, films without the bloody adds.
Anyone else hate the Sheilas wheels song?

With a passion, Old Son. With a passion. So much so that I can't bear to sit through it, and hit the "mute" button whenever it comes on.

Those acapela schoolgirl choirs that feature in a couple of current ads also get on my tits big-time and get muted as well.

They did show them unbutchered after 9, I think,
and your right about the ads.
But the worst on telly must be
Walrus-man in the PI insurance ad.

When FilmFour lauches as a free service on the 23rd of this month IT WILL HAVE ADVERT BREAKS during films. As to the severity of these ad breaks nobody really knows until it launches. As long as these ads don't spoil the viewing we cannot really complain as Channel 4 has to make money somehow.

The thing with dvd sets like say Minder or Robin of Sherwood is
I will watch them once through when I buy them and then they just sit on the shelf.
Robin of Sherwood I bought on Video then bought again on DVD,
but the only time I have watched the show since getting it on DVD
is when its shown on ITV2 on Sundays,
and yes I moan about the amount of ads and the quality which is better on DVD than the prints shown on ITV2.
But if its on ill watch it because its a classic, if its on the shelf it just seems to stay there unwatched.
