Just like to add, NO-ONE has a better defensive four than England, not even the Italians. Only Brazil has a better midfield. Up front is the only worry, lets hope Rooneys scan is positive!

Watched a prog on Rooney the other day that said the brains temporal lobe which controls things such as temperament aren't fully develop in men until they are into their early 20's and offered this as a suggestion to his former behaviour, they also compared his bookings and they had dropped significantly as he got older. Good news i guess..
Does anyone have the dates of the England matches , because im thinking this summers going to be amazing, but I'm prob gonna need a summer job whilst home and I dont reaaally want them to clash all that much
Definitely don't wanna miss the game that knocks us out :O
haha

Rooney is the better player. He has the right mentality which Gazza didn't have. You need to be able to use your head as well as your feet.

When I say he's got the right mentality I mean he has managed to stay on the rails. He has progressed magnificently. From a kid at Everton to one of England's best players in a short period of time. And we ain't seen the best of him yet.
Sure he has to curb his temper but he will learn. Keane had the same problem but that didn't stop him carving out a brilliant career at the top.
Rooney had a problem with hookers as Owen had with gambling but you can't say their problems affected them like Gazza's did.
In the end, Gazza's mental health problems, indiscipline, addictions etc. put paid to his career. I don't think you'll see Rooney go the same way.
