The reason the media was making such a "Fuss" about the Soham case is that for the first few weeks it was a missing persons inquiry so they were doing their job in giving it huge attention. Only those cunts Huntley and Carr knew the truth. This copper is a total tossbag, he should have more respect for the parents.

The attack on the media in this country is entirely valid. We must however look to ourselves and the role we play in encouraging them to produce this sensationalist crap that passes for news!

When I moved to this country 10 years ago I couldn't believe the bollocks that makes the news when there is so much going on in the world that is more worthy of our attention. Not to say that teenage murders are not newsworthy, just the way they are handled is so sensationalistand it is done to the exclusion of "serious" news.

Everyone who has bought a magazine/newspaper they do not normally buy on the strength of a sensationalist headline shares their part in the blame. It's time to stop scapegoating people who raise these issues and consider them.

Both Dave's have made very good points and some keen, insightful, observations. It?s clear to me that the overall enemy of society is the rampant political correctness of irrational zealots. These middleclass divis buy into a set of beliefs to offset their angst and guilt over their fortunate cosy lives in leafy suburbs with sensible caring parents, and they draw pious comfort and a warm feeling of self congratulation from speaking up for 'minorities' and eschewing the ostentatious excesses of the consumer society.

But since they haven't grown up with any brainless, lowlife, scumbags they do not fully understand them - they just assume that no one has a good word for them because they are (ultra poncy middleclass word coming up here - brace yourselves) ?prejudiced?. I share daveys opinion on this. Whenever you hear about someone from a minority group being assaulted or murdered by someone white, they seem to automatically assume it was race related, whenever it's the other way around they assume it isn't.
The PC media and assholes in charge are slowly destroying this country, and bringing about their own fate too. More people than any time in the last 50 years are considering voting for nationalist type parties like the BNP, and it's all because they're fed up of the political correctness and the resulting inequality. It's just going to swing from one extreme to the other.

About the Sally-Anne/Rochelle stories or lack thereof:
Sally Anne Bowman was stabbed at around 4:30 on September 25th, and her body was discovered at around 6am the same day.
Rochelle Holness went missing on September 25th after leaving her house to use a phonebox to call her boyfriend, and was found on the night of September 28th. The fact that she was going out to call her boyfriend leads me to assume that it was during the daytime. It's probably fairly safe to assume that by the time she left her house Sally Anne Bowmans body had already been found, and the media would already be on the case. For the next 3 days one is a murder case, the other is a missing person.
Discounting the time factor, one would be "marketed" as "Model found raped and murdered 450 yards from home", the other is "Missing child found dismembered in binbag". Now, both crimes fall into the pretty fucked up category, but from the point of view of someone trying to sell newspapers the first one probably sparks more of an interest, the second is a little too gruesome. I can't imagine the media dropping a story they've covered for up to 3-4 days, for one that's not as marketable.
I very much doubt that they decided which story to go with and which to drop based purely on one victim being white and the other being black.

You ought to change the record Dibble, you are beginning to wear this one out.
