Cowardly & Selfish act,I don't think so
Very few people choose to suicide in a rational state of mind
Do a search under 'Depression' and you'll find oodles of info on this insidious DISEASE of the MIND that is the main lead-up to Suicide
cheers

"Maybe not if you were terminally Ill, or say you lost your life partner"
That's just it, plenty of people suffer the most terrible tragedies but don't take the easy way out. I personally find it cowardly and selfish because of the mess it leaves behind (Not literally! I suppose the cops deal with that. Let's spare a thought for the poor fucker who has to clear up a shotgun suicide though. What the fuck must that look like?) for the family and friends left behind. I know it sounds very harsh but it seems an exceptionally wanky thing to do. A permanent solution to a temporary problem if you will.

I know 3 blokes from work and the one from my local , see my other post in the murder psot for that . 2 from work both gassed themselves with the old car exhaust trick , one in a car park at the ford dealer down the road from work after prolonged arguments with his wife and kids , he was in his 50's , the other in a pub car park after losing his wife to the big C . The 3rd used to be the managing director left and went to work for the former owners on the isle of mann and it didn't work out , not sure if he shot himself . Must be a bit sickening if it messy , cut throat , wrists , or bullet , poor sod that finds them . One of my in-laws down nequay is a train driver only in the job about 6months , had a 17 year old girl jump in front of his train , he was off work for a while . JJ .

Saw a show on channel 4 about 6-7 years ago probably about an american couple who's business was to clean up the aftermath of bloody deaths once the bodies were removed.
The suicides stick in my mind as the families were still in the house as the cleaners cleared up the mess in the bathroom of a woman who had shot herself in the bath. Pieces of skull etc were shown. Pretty horrific show and the couples detached attitudes to it all was quite fascinating, it REALLY hit home about the aftermath more than anything ive ever considered/seen before. Not to mention the mess.

This smacks of the 'we're all the same underneath' mentality which I largely disagree with.

I think it's the problem that seems permanent with many suicides, with the solution the only option, sadly.

You just come out of the cinema seeing The Lion, The witch and The Wardrobe??
Guy I went to school with, well ok he bullied the shit outta me most of my school years. Well a few years ago his girlfriend and mother of his kid caught him sucking a dick and threw him out. He then went and hung himself in a playpark.
And of course his family retaliate with "He wasn`t gay, someone must have spiked his drink with drugs and he`s been hing himself"
Either way I laugh my ass off, Karmas a bitch
