Never let the truth get in the way of a good rant
Where does it say all charges have been dropped?

It looks suspicious that the families were paid "compensation", but let us not forget this business was instigated by the News Of The Screws/The Sun, and I'm quite sure they aren't adverse to bribing "vistims" for allegations.
There's an interesting quote on Glitter from Roger Daltrey in the new issue of Mojo which makes more sense than most.
They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?

Isn't there a new English law against sex tourism?. If so perhaps he'll get collered if/when he comes back. If he doesn't come back, those people who tried to "bring back" Ronnie Biggs from Brazil might like to have another go if we all have a whip round.

PC

Of course this is if he gets off in Vietnam where money seems to work, whoops sorry meant COMPENSATION...........

It seems i got it slightly wrong and glitter has so far only managed to buy himself out of the two most serious charges just as most of us predicted he would and no doubt more money will be dished out and the other charges will be watered down and he will get of lightly, as for the girls being prostitutes does that make any difference apparently these girls were 12 years old and the fact they were prostitutes dosnt alter the law unless it happens in a corrupt country where money can buy you out of trouble.

None of us knows what happened but we must not let the media (especially the sun) infect the minds of those around us who cannot think for themselves.
They profit on fear and sensionalisum, so 'celebrity' + 'child abuse' is big profit for them.
They want us to think every stranger is a potential paedo and child abductor.
Watch Michael moore's 'Bowling for columbine' about the US media scare mongering about gun crime. The hype is fuelling a 'scared' america to buy more guns to protect themselves. which is the very reason for terrible handgun crime in that country.

The media (tabloid) are clever and are a business that firstly wants to make a profit. How they do it is to scare and sensationalise storys to make the weak minded beleive they need to know this info, and buy the papers.

For the record, I think Glitter is a fool, and certainly an undesireable character, but I never believe anything I read (except the TV guide). Look at the war on Iraq!
Sorry, I'm going off on one!
Rob.
