Totally agree the film is a complete success.

The god squad love it as the humans are referred to as "son of adam" etc etc but thats just staying true to the book and its touches like that, that really make the film a winner in my eyes.

Be interesting to know the reaction if a film had been made based on a kids' book with Islamic messages. My biggest beef with Lewis is that in the last book of the Narnia series he damns Susan to Hell for being interested in clothes and make-up, while Edmund, the Judas figure, is allowed to stay in Paradise. What kind of morality is that?

Anyway, Ursula Le Guin was the writer I loved as a kid. She pisses on Lewis...wonder if there's any footage of that?
