Violence against women is condoned by the PC brigade ... after all they hold Muslims on a pedestal ... and Muslims believe in violence against females ... so the conclusion must be that they support the wicked ways.

Wade was also, notoriously, the editor of the News Of The World when it started printing the names and addresses of convicted paedophiles---thus leading to the danger of the offenders disappearing into communities to avoid the mobs out for them---but didn't see anything wrong with carrying pics of under-age girls (Charlotte Church a few years back, Emma Watson more recently) with rather provocative headlines and captions.
Never forget, the language most often spoken in national papers' newsrooms isn't, surprisingly, bullshit; it's hypocrisy.

Personally, I think it very unfortunate that Ross Kemp didnt apparently smack Rebekah Wade back. If anyone deserves a thump its the editor of a nauseating rag like the News of the World. The Sun journalist who came up with the headline "Bonkers Bruno" , insulting the hundreds of thousands suffering with mental illness, would also be on my list as deserving a good thump. I realise that none of this is very PC, but hey, these guys deserve it.
Cheers
David

Trust nachovx to come up with one of his typical reactionary comments.

You`ve got to love it. If she hits him he`s wimp, if he hits her back he`s a bastard and a wife beater. Sad thing is aparently there`s shitloads of men affected by this . It annoys the shit out of me. If he`d hit her would people be making jokes about it?

I certainly wasn't calling him a wimp, and domestic violence isn't funny. The reason it's getting the attention it has is due to her job as much as his TV hardman image. It's the kind of thing that if it formed part of a plot of a book or play or a soap opera would be dismissed as fanciful.
There's a deliciously ironic feel to it, all helped by the fact that The Sun has devoted the front page of tomorrow's edition to Steve McFadden's incident rather than Ross and Bek.
If it does focus attention on domestic violence, then good.
