One last point on the matter, its far more likely to have been someone at the higher price point, big site, big investment, big ego, who does not like a small site with small overheads, coming along selling at a very cheap price!

Also Jay, it might have helped if you had mentioned that I emailed you with my sympathy and confirmation that I was not the culprit. Also you said you more or less knew who had done it, if this is the case please hurry up and put out the information, as I do not have a very thick skin, and prefer not to be the butt of slanderous alegations. (from one eyed jack)

When I first read that Jay was having problems with a competitor then I have to say that I always believed it to be on of the "big boys" and not an up and coming company.

Why?

Well I worked for one of the "big Boys" for 5 1/2 years (incl 3 years in the office in Spain) and I know what they get up to and how their minds work. It is not only the type of thing that they would do, it is the exactly the type of thing that they have done and I know that as fact.

Now I don't know if it's them or somebody else and in truth I don't want to know (or need to) as it's none of my business but it does make me glad that I got out of the business and decided not to pursue my idea of my own private ecommerce shop selling adult Dvd's as I don't need the aggro anymore.

Well said eduardo, I don't want to know either, my only concern is that I have been wrongly accused of this just to make a 'forum favourite' look better and get a lot of sympathy, sympathy which I might add I was willing to give initially but this has turned to a certain amount of anger.

Yes Alex, there is no room for honesty and integrity! What are these things anyway??? LOL! Sometimes you have to stir up a hornets nest to clear the air. Now you have made your points, people here can see both sides of the story.

My apologies though for winding you up like that because, to be honest, I know absolutely nish about the pair of you but left to my own devices and what I have heard through the grapevine led me to believe what I mentioned earlier. Thanks for clearing that up. I have no beef with you and wish you all the best but I'm always going to be biased in my own interests. Now you've cleared that up. Nuff respect and thanks for that. No offence meant.

I must say I would tend to agree it's more likely to be a bigger player who thinks they are losing trade, rather than a new comer to the scene.

But the whole business is just one more indictment for British Porn and the people running the cosy cartel scene from the shadows of the underworld.

the industry needs a shake up from top to bottom to rid it of the sleazy image it's got, but this is hardly surprising when most business apart from legalised sex shops is technically illegal. If the UK government actually had any sense they would see the current position actively encourages the business to be run by the sort of people they least want to be there. Once everything is legal, open and free from restriction legitimate businesses will drive the undesirables out.

LOL! Yeah, right! Sleaze is here to stay. This business, no matter how legitimate and accepted it gets will always be like any other.

You can take a man out f the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of the man seems to ring true about this business. Those certain undesirables (whoever they may be) are the very back bone of this industry. Take your rose coloured specs off Nachovx.

The girls know who the real sleaze bags are. What you should be saying is: What if the girls of this business took it over and locked us men out and controlled it for itself. You will see sleaze of another kind my friend.

it seems certain women are just as ruthless and sleazy as some blokes (again, whoever they may be). On the inside looking out all i see is a huge blur of grey. it seems on the outside looking in, people like you see it in black and white.

I mean, Nachovx, what do you really know about British porn apart from the stuff you don't like to be casting general statements like that. I'm not an expert but feel I'm in a better position than you to comment about indictments about british porn and inner workings and power struggles.

You armchair analysts don't half make me laugh!

well said OEJ, there is good and bad in the british porn industry, just as in any industry. as for it being sleazy, that is a purely personal view which says more about the mind of the poster than the industry itself!

it's not a matter of making a forum favourite look better at all. jay has proved himself a reliable and honest businessman through his site and doesn't need anybody's help to look good. the comments made are genuine voices of sympathy and annoyance that this has happened to him.

And that sypathy was also expressed by me via email and also on the forum. I am just as annoyed as everyone else but not only with what happened but with the way that I was the unjustified target of some peoples annoyance.

But I thank One Eyed Jack for his later comments.

I think its getting to the stage where I cannot say much more on the matter other than I wish Jay a speedy recovery from this temporary setback and all the best for the future and I probably more than most hope that he finds out soon who was responsible!

Which is an appropriate sentiment with which to close this thread.
