A stunning result, and a fantastic game. Inspired half-time change, the comeback of all comebacks.
Well done, Liverpool, for continuing to beat all the odds. Three-nil down to an Italian side, and able to get back on level terms . . . . Mr J. Greaves' catchphrase says it all.

Credit where credits due
The underdog was all but down and buried at half time but managed a comeback of which I've never seen at that level before
Benitez got the teams formation wrong in the first half which handed mid-field dominance to Milan but being the master tactician turned it all around
and if not for some dubious decisions(Gattuso not sent off)could have won it in normal time IMHO
How Milan didn't score right at the death of extra time is beyond me
2 bites at the cherry from 2 feet out by european footballer of the year shevchenko and 2 miraculous saves
Will keep Jerzy in everyones good books for a while
Even the Ref seemed to be favouring him in the penalty shoot out...metre of the line is OK...a little bit farcical but didn't really effect the result with all the other misses
cheers

Without doubt the least skilful team to win the trophy, aside Steaua Bucharest in the 80s. I will now have to suffer several weeks of complete bollocks from scousers at werk, aside Kate the toffee fan!

Sounds like sour grapes heathray
As one commentator pointed out a good comparison would be Aston Villa in 1981/82 beating bayern Munich 1-0 but finishing 12th in the league
Any team that comes back from 0-3 against Italian opposition has Skill to burn IMHO
For mine they were the most underestimated because of their domestic form(14 losses) and lack of big name players
Their opposition made chance after chance but choked when it came to shooting.Might be down to Liverpool(along with Milan) having the best defense
cheers

It was a truly amazing night.
I watched it in a pub in Exeter and it was a sea of red shirts from 6.45pm onwards.
At half time we were hoping that it wouldn't get embarrasing. But what a second half. It just goes to prove that you need courage and heart as well as ability to be a champion in any sport and we had the first two in abundance. They had the latter but came up short in the first two.
How Dudek kept out Shevchenko at the death I will never know. A great save yes but a fair bit of luck in it to.
People in the pub were hugging others who they didn't know and hadn't met before. The singing...................
It was a truly amazing night.

cmon admit it liverpool fans how many of you thought at half time it was going to be a rampant whitewash to AC Milan. But brilliant match has to be one of the best champions league finals i seen(there usually tend to be scrappy and shitty affairs between the finalists).
I'm NOT a liverpool fan(as i support a coca cola championship team,Crystal Palace ex premiership)But i'm glad there won it(i was in bed watching it and when the 3rd goal went in i pulled a muscle on the back of my leg with excitment, bloody hurt, theres never a female model about when your need deep tissue massage).
I think there should defend there title(thats why its called the champions league)and Liverpool are champions of europe.
(the only thing liverpool has got to do is to sort there premiership campaign out there lose to too many bottom club teams like us for instance when really there should pick up points away from home)

It was an amazing game and glad to see 'pool win it. Coming back from 3-0 against the favourites deserves the cup. 2 penalties should have been re-taken with Dudek clearly off his line, but they go for and against you.
Defend it next year? No.........rules are rules, and besides, they have won the cup outright, no need to defend it.
Chelsea might not have come back from 3-0 down BUT I very much doubt we would have conceeded 3 before half time
Well done Scousers!!

Rest assured Liverpool will be in next years competition
simply because they generate money and thats what its all about not prestige
Common sense says winning a competition should mean automatic qualification.
I'm betting Everton will lose their spot if push comes to shove,or some other lesser league will lose a spot to accomodate Liverpool
cheers

no chance of Everton losing their spot, or another team being kicked out, UEFA would get the bollocks sued off them.
the odds are Liverpool will not be there next year thus devaluing the competition but the rules will be changed for the year after
