Guilty on both counts.
My view is that if you don't at least exercise your right to vote, you shouldn't complain about what you end up with.

"Well, I'm votring Labour.
Lots of reasons - health, education, law & order"
Maybe those are reasons you should not be voting Labour? What about MRSA, A-levels that aren't worth the paper they are written on and city centres that wouldn?t disgrace Dodge City on a Saturday evening?
"Right wing governments in the US and Australia are trying to restrict hardcore porn, a new Tory government here would be no different and, before long, I'd guess someone would move to stop R18. First they would probably tighten up the customs guidance to stop any importing - they would move to tighten up strip and table dance etc laws too"
Every cloud has a silver lining - if most of the Johnny come latleys were shaken out, moody geezers like us could get back to making some real dough. Plus, if I recall correctly, in the days of prohibition pornograghy actually seemed erotic and stimulating.

The fuel protests were extremely potent and effective. It was the first time in many years (or generations) that the general British public shook off their apathy and all but rose up against the ruling elite and their poncy, middleclass, anti-car policies. It gave the poncy fuckers a terrible fright and further planned increases in fuel duty were put on hold for years. That's real people power - telling the Islington set to fuck off, because we're not standing for any more of their fuel tax shit. Maybe when the pain threshold of speed cameras is reached (there are already audible rumblings of discontent) we could have a similar rebellion? That would be groovy, wouldn't it?

In the US they can try and restrict xxx, but they'll never really succeed because of the written constitution and the fact it's just too big a money spinner in California and Nevada (the fastest growing state) which still has a sort of cowboy mentality to the way it's run.
Way off topic by now

Yeah, and then you can all drive as fast as you want, regardless of the conditions, and any unfortunate pedestrians who happen to get in the way.
Politicians are a sad sack of shiteholes. Almost as bad as those who complain because their toys (fast cars, guns, foxhounds) are being taken away from them.
Answer to the original question: I don't know. But there are likely to be more restrictions on adult material if the Tories get in.

Feeling nostalgic for the good old days under Thatch, Dibbers, when wide boys could make a killing, and the "greed is good" brigade were marching proudly?

this subject is surely for the o/t forums? personally though i dont support new labour you have to concede that the distribution of adult materials is far freer under them than it was post 97. You can now buy h/c materials in most corner shops... could remember a time when you were hard pressed to do so outside of soho

Frankly, yes. The whole social/economic scene was much more vibrant and dynamic back then. You could move up or down in great bounds. It was a new adventure getting up every morning - what deals or opportunities would come your way today? Besides, everyone dressed nice back then, even the chaps. Contrast that with today, we're probably even richer now than back then, but we don't feel it, because taxes and the like now soak up much of our disposable income. We can't buy as many of the things that make us happy - flash sports cars, houses with room to swing a cat, two week breaks in the Seychelles. Just checkout the High St - everyone shuffling around like slobs, vacant looks on their faces, brains turning to mush due to all responsibility and inspiration having been taken away from them by an ever more nannying state and the increasing idiocy and banality of the popular media.
