Ah, I see. I think you should still explain this to your GP - a (perhaps) mental issue affecting your physical wellbeing would certainly warrant such action and they are extremely helpful with problems such as these now (again, you may well get refered to a specialist). Though daunting, it certainly wouldn't do you any harm, and may tentatively put you in the right direction. Simply talking to someone with knowledge of your type of problem might help too.

Theres enough data around to say that Hynotism works but only if your willing to believe in it first,in other words having faith

Wether self hypnosis by the untrained is as good as a visit to a professional is debatable
