You might also add porno film producers to your roll call of shame. They are just as guilty of hiring those horrible, scrawny, sexless, chavy sorts as the magazine picture editors (and thereby setting the tone for the whole contemporary adult entertainment scene).

Are you being too harsh? Not at all, you're spot on. When you look back at the gorgeous, ultra-desirable, stunnas, of the 70's and 80's - like Corrine and Cleo Roccos and compare them to the lairy, skinny, low-grade chaver that what we are universally served up with today, it fair makes one want to weep - especially when there a number of porn fans and producers out there who just can't seem to see anything wrong with this picture.
