Don't get me wrong, I wasn't critisizing Islam.
I was commenting on all organised religion.
Being spiritual is one thing, practicing ridiculous traditions based on fairytales is quite something else. I can't quite see the good in depriving the body of water as well as food and then pigging out after dark.
I apply this to western religions too, I don't find unquestioning following of the next man one of human beings better traits, it's not admirable.
