My post compared that BOTH were re-issued yesterday, The Clash have only re-released their album ONCE (yesterday) and with it you got an extra CD and DVD, whereas Lucas seems to CONSTANTLY re-release Star Wars in one guise or another whether its extra footage include (usually 7-10 minutes), a box set format or a limited edition.
It was the same when ET was re-released with *new* footage of the alien drinking milk which had been digitally restored.
At the emd of the day, this boxset will sell millions, and I am willing to bet a LOT of money that within 2 years, another version of this will be released with extras not included in the current version.

I think they are more updated than that, the reviews i've read say the sound has been souped up and they've been made more visually vivid (whatever that means)
i'm most looking forward to the 2.5 hour documentary on the extras disk, should give some cool insights
