And I have seen the State of the Union address a few times---and a strategically shaved monkey that can just about read an autocue does not a president make. By the way, does he get a four-year-old to write his speeches, or is it Georgie himself who mangles the English language.
Clinton was sleazy, Clinton was more right wing than many people believe (and if you have read Stupid White Men you'll find huge amounts of criticism of Slick Willy). The one thing he was not was a dynasty builder. George Senior is the power behind the throne, and I'm sure little brother of Florida will be waiting in the wings when Dubya is finally done.

is the motive behind it: waging a war to make yourself and your buddies
a nice little earner, and pretending to the rest of the world that
you are fighting a just cause.
Moore may be a hypocrite, though probably not by politicians standards.
Bush is not just a hypocrite. He is evil.

And it's not just about oil, it's also about contracts for reconstructing the
country, and arms trade for the future Iraqi army. All industries in which Bush's friends and supporters have a foot in.
But, more importantly: I didn't claim that the plan had actually worked,
because I never said Bush was clever, only that he was evil. As it stands at the moment, they would not want control over the industry, because the "liberation" of Iraq isn't quite seen in these terms by the locals and any foreigners trying to run the oil industry from within Iraq would risk life and limb. Better letting the locals do it but keep them in control with the military.
