We still do not know who has faked the pics.....for all we know and I know I may get some stick for this, it could have been the MOD that faked the photos in the first place.

I am not saying it is fact, but whey up the timing again of the incident,

1) America is in the dock because of prisoner abuse. If some photos are classed as fake, then they may try and pass all of them off as fake. Or at least it allows the uneducated to think photos think fake.

2)The mirror has constantly said that the war in Iraq was unjustified, and has been a thorn in the govt side for some time, and this is from a paper which is supposed to be on the labour side......has the paper switched its alliance or as labour switched its policys....thats another discussion though.

3)There are soon to be elections in this country, would a labour govt want this constant barracking of the mirror, when its trying to run a succesful election campaign......especially if the people who read that paper are your traditional labour supporters.

4)I have just seen the news and there is now talk of Alistar Campbell, the old labour spin doctor as being a candidate for the now vacant position at the daily mirror.............just the person the govt would want to be feeding the right info to the electorial masses.

Of course the above could just be pure bad timing.......but like I say if I was Mr P Morgan, I would want to find out the true origin of the photo's just for your own piece of mind that u had not been done up like a kipper.

Like most conspiracy theories, a tad implausible. The MoD fabricates pics of an Iraqi prisoner being pissed on to lose Piers Moron his job, completely unconcerned that it's by-product will be painting a target on any British soldier operating in Iraq.

Yeah, the war is a factor in respect of petrol prices. However, it still only makes a few pence difference. My beef is that with the oil company and the garage's profit the cost of a litre of petrol is a paltry sum (don't know precisely how much, probably about 25 pence!) No, it's that dour fucker Gordon Brown who is taking the piss here. Don't let the government and BBC steer the blame onto the oil companies. It's Gordon who has levied a piss taking 75% extra on the price of a litre. Don't stand for it.

Well, to continue the conspiracy theory, does the MoD give a fuck what happens to soldiers if it is successful in a cover-up job.

The point is well made that we here hardly notice a few pence amongst all that 'greed tax'- whereas the US will feel it much more painfully.

Oh, yes, Morgan- he'll bounce back, I expect, not much the wiser. He is obsessed by celebrity (having aspirations thereto himself), and thus will always be a trivial lightweight. What he hoped to achieve by this obvious, poorly-concocted rot is totally beyond me.
I imagine he will be having several interesting 'conversations' with current and former servicemen over the coming months- I DO hope his medical insurance is up to date.........

Blair and Hoon will get theirs fairly soon. Caught a snippet of Robin Cook being interviewed for one of the Sunday morning programmes, and he was saying that if Michael Howard is considered extreme, you need a stepladder and a telescope to see Dubya----and which one is Tone's mate and which has he been having a go at. Being Bush's best mate will lead to the PM's demise.

As for Hoon, I can't see such inepitude being retained by whoever replaces Bliar.
