Yes, I tend to think Rita Faltoyano would have done very well on Page 3 if she was born over here. Cute face, lovely eyes/smile, full set of curves and a natural rack. But as I say, if you can get girls that pretty to do full on b/g hardcore with anal and d/p in Hungary and Czech Rep., is it any wonder most of our top-shelf photographers spend half their time out East when most of the UK models in Rita's ballpark looks-wise won't even take their knickers off?

The Czech Rep. has one-sixth the UK population, therefore in theory it should be six times harder to find suitable girls over there, yet it quite obviously isn't. Whilst they undoubtedly have some stunners over there, so do we over here...it's just that for some reason, they seem to be dead set against top-shelf work. Like I say, I believe this is either down to their agents or contractual obligations to the tabloids.

Let me put it another way....who was the last great British top-shelf model? Adele Stephens? Jo Guest? Both are getting on....most of the new/recent big names seem to be East Euro's like Veronica Zemanova, Kyla Cole, Sandy, Tereza, etc. Seems like British girls (of a certain standard) just don't do mens magazines anymore, unless it's the middle-shelf 'porno for cowards' variety. I'm surprised that some of today's top Page 3 girls don't have their own members-only paysites where they can do top-shelf work and rake in a tidy fortune for showing what you can't see on Page 3. Again, I'm sure this is down to some form of contractual agreement. As long as this situation persists, I guess it's boomtime for Prague and Budapest!

I heard an interview with her where she basically said that she is playing the game and will go fully topless either in June or July and then possibly fully nude some time after.

Yippee! I do hope so. As with Michelle Marsh, she is most shagadelic! I hope we see a LOT more nude work from both these girls!

On the one hand, I would say 'Don't get your hopes up', but on the other hand, both girls must be aware that as significantly busty models, the candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long...so they need to make their money pretty sharpish.

Frankly, Michelle Marsh seems so popular right now that if she did start doing magazine work, I very much doubt either The Sun or The Star would drop her. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Personally, I'm hoping for Nikkala, but I'm not holding my breath.

If I may...

The Golden Age of Page 3 girls has certainly passed. In the late 80s and early 90s, we had serious superstar models like Sam Fox, Maria Whittaker, Suzanne Mitzi, Gail McKenna... the list is huuuuge.

These girls broke down barriers when it came to getting your boobs out and being paid for it. The trouble was, they opened the floodgates to a myriad other girls who thought they'd give it a go, which watered things down.

As to why we don't have the same superstars today (and by that I mean girls who are stars on TV as well as Page 3, and whose names even your mum would know), well, I put some of that down to table dancing/lap/pole etc. chiefly because girls know they can make a ton of cash doing that for a night. Their mum won't see them, their neighbours won't know and the newsagent won't give them a funny look when they pop in to buy a copy of Heat.

Some of the current girls do indeed have clauses in their contracts that bar them from nude work. Others prefer to work for lads' mags, and let's not forget that the likes of loaded et al all appeared at a time when Page 3 was in demise and offered girls the chance to pose with their knickers on.

As to comments about Mayfair well, we ran Page 3 girls long after Mr Raymond purchased the title, as my predecessors will attest. But as some of you will know, very, very few of the girls opened their legs, and I think that's cheating. A lot of magazines trumpet 'such and such naked!', but when you open the magazine, it's all coy poses and carefully draped silks and satins. As a top-shelf mag buyer, that *really* used to piss me off, and I suspect the vast majority of readers would feel the same. I wouldn't do it, because I'd get angry letters from readers who felt cheated out of their money, and sales would take a hit the following month, without a doubt.

We have, however, managed to snag a couple of cuties who until now had only worked with "middle shelf" magazines, and they'll be coming up over the next few months in Mayfair.

And as for Jo Guest, well, she'll be appearing in MensWorld and on her official website (which we help with) until she gets bored! Although going by last week's shoot with her, that won't be for a long time!

I gave up buying and papers & magazines along time ago

You can see the highlights of both at

The euro invasion will continue unabated

From memory I'd say the last big thing was probably Rebekah Teasdale
Girl of the millenium was a bit rich

Tara King/O'Connor springs to mind as well

I guess the only ones who can really answer why most of these girls seem to be avoiding the top shelf mags(not lads mags) are the editors.Wether its down to them not being able to due to contractual arrangements or wether its because they won't do anything other than topless is anyones guess

When you consider how few sets were done by girls of yesteryear compared to todays free for all

A perfect illustration is gail mckenna who has a group

270 pics of various sets representing her whole career

Compare that to the massive amount done by certain high profile Europeans like Monika Hajkova/Katty Mass,Veronika Zemanova & Zsannette Egerhazi/Sandy you do wonder wether its to much

These 3 would probably do 270 pics in 3 sets let alone over a whole career

Less has always been more IMHO

cheers

Like your comments re: 'cheating'. It's nice to see not everybody espouses the 'screw the punter for a quick buck' mentality.

Also, I must admit to be rather puzzled by the table-dancing excuse which seems to be being bandied about by a number of UK industry figures. A girl is just as likely to be seen doing that, plus with what has been said about the Spearmint Rhino in London, many lapdancing joints are viewed as little more that tarted-up knocking shops. Next to that, I'd say a layout in Mayfair is downright respectable, not to mention something to be proud of! If it was your daughter, which one would you prefer her to do?

I guess it's those Victorian attitudes again....better to do escorting than porn work, or lap dancing rather than magazine work because there's 'less exposure'. But I tend to look at the flipside of the argument...one cannot deny that Jo Guest is 'exposed'. I'm sure her Mum and Dad know what she does for a living, as does most of the rest of the country...but would she have been in a Blur video, and appeared on Shooting Stars, travelled all over the world on location, gone to all the big lad's mags awards, hosted her own TV show, had her own Playboy video etc., etc. (I'm sure there's a hell of a lot more besides) if she was just some bird getting her kit off in some lapdancing dive? I'm going to go out on a limb and say no.

Still, if the girls are making good money off of the tabloids, good luck to them...it just seems odd that there is such a stigma regarding magazine work. It is almost as if The Sun is admitting that Page 3 is the only reason anyone buys it, and thus wants to negate the possibility that someone will trump the appeal of their topless girl with an adult layout of the same model...! But of course that can't be true...after all, there's so much more to The Sun than just Page 3...right?

Anyway, who are these middle-shelf models you are alluding to...? The mind boggles...

I've got an idea for mags. If possible, why not do special editions on different classic Page 3 girls. These could feature all the mag work that the girl did in her career! Just a thought, because I'm sick of searching for and looking at crappy scans on the Net, which more times than not are tiny, grainy, cut up and even reversed!

See Gail McKenna at http://www.page3gropeforcokegirl.net/index.htm dropping her panties and getting her massive knockers out for every guy to lust over. What a tart!
