As the office comedian bounds into the building pausing only to check his comedy arrow through the head gag all psyched up having waited for this, his one special day, I find that I can instantly quell his urge for spontaneous and well rehearsed jokes by dropping the office photocopier down the stairwell on him as he comes through the entrance. Works for me everytime!
