The first time I saw this alleged was in one of Clive Cussler's books. I like Cussler, but he does come out with some whacky ideas. His latest is a suggestion that the Seige of Troy took place in Cambridgeshire!?!

Now't like an outlandish proposition to sell a book. But some folks take these ideas seriously - against all evidence and objective analysis.
