I like it when the lead singer goes to greet the carol singers. Adjusting the back of his ?trousers?, making sure there?s no plumbers cleavage on show, but he?s got hideous amounts of white flesh spilling out the laced sides, LOL He then get?s to the door, with all the carol singers innocent faces, and his got this massive flame tattoo emanating from his crutch, out the top of his trouser line, LOL Then the impossibly high ?singing? starts. Yep, priceless. Good luck to them, they make me laugh, and the music?s not bad either. That guitar intro, for their first hit, is a classic ? I always join in with my air-drums.

Depends how seriously you take them i suppose. if you're trying to compare them with bands from previous eras then of course, they don't seem original or up to the standard of the bands mentioned.
Without trying to repeat cliches that have been used to death by the press, if you don't take them too seriously then i think they're pretty cool, especially compared to what else is out there at the moment. It's nice to see guitar solos and stacks of Marshall amps in the charts for a change.
I saw them on TV recently doing a gig at the Astoria from about a month ago, apart from the songs we've already heard there wasn't much that made me say "wow!" but still looked like a good show.
And their videos are pretty good too.

Surely not or are you thinking of Twisted Sister-the LA Glam look was never a good one

Originality in the form of new songs with good lyris is what the Punters want
IMHO

Even if the style can be compared to previous bands

Screaming Jets(working class band) from Newcastle Oztralia kinda filled this void in 1989-

Guitar oriented with some biting lyrics poked squarely at the rich

cheers

Well I love them!

Who gives a fuck if they arn't original or sound like some other band. I say if you like it buy it & if you don't then don't. They play fun hard rock & it makes me smile and thats good enough for me.
No one ever complains that classical music rely on people doing the same thing over & over again so does it really matter if a band isn't doing anything new.

Besides, they are rockers with long hair, they play loud and they have guitar solos and in my mind thats just about the best kind of guy I could wish for. Oh, and their christmas single is the most fun single I have seen for many years.
