I've checked my hosts file and there is no google in there, yet I'm still unable to access Google in any way, shape or form. Any advice/suggestions would be gratefully received.

Silly question....Tried a forced refresh?

If you have been hijacked you might want to check out your security under Shields up on this page Magoo supplied to me recently

Covers many problems

No questions are silly where I'm concerned, Buttsie. Refresh isn't working. I've checked that link you sent (many thanks) and my firewall appears to be in fine working order. But still no Google.

Strange, very strange.
