Porn will never die anywhere let alone here in the UK. The problem here in the right now is that the profit margins for producers (NOT OWNERS OR DISTRIBUTORS unless they are one and the same of course) are well...........pathetic compared to 10-15-20 years ago. The internet has managed to market porn beyond anyone's comprehension (10-15 years ago). And most of it is or has become - free. How can you make money if it's exploited and given away free ? Sure like utube you can try and attract advertisers but this is porn, what type of advertisers are you likely to attract........you guessed it porn !
The future.........well I'm clueless. Like I started porn will never die but in what shape and form it is allowed (after all the new regulations are put into force), who knows. I don't !

Porn isnt dying. Its very much alive. More alive than it ever has been. Just not in the traditional methods weve become accustomed to over the years.

British porn seems to be largely user generated these days. Now everyones a porn star on adultwork, webcams and mobile phones

ATVOD are wasting their time trying to regulate the interrnet. Most of the porn is being made by real people sharing it on websites.

This will last for a while until the trend changes again but the real trick is how to monetise porn nowadays when people are so used to seeing it for free

There is an enormous site, named after a small rodent, which has free cams of all types, and about 1/2 a million videos ranging from full vintage movies to 2 minute promotional clips. It's run impeccably and must really be a threat to the porn industry across the globe - as to how it funds itself I could not guess, but it does and if that is the way of the future, why would anyone want to go into a grubby backstreet shop? Or buy a subscription to a TV channel etc.

i'm amazed that the 'grubby backstreet shop' image still persists - maybe one chain which we are all familiar with would still fall into this category (no idea as i haven't been in one of those since around 1999) but the other chains certainly don't.

I come on to this forum every week, looking for ideas of what to download, or things I have not seen before.

Sometimes I have a moan about the state of the British industry because things have changed over the years, but truthfully as a consumer I'm just not getting what I want from British vendors.

10 years ago I would spend ?40 to ?60 a month on DVD's and there were quality products available. Then I figured why pay ?20 for a DVD with 4 scenes when I could join a legal site and download 100 clips or for ?15 to ?20.

I could use a torrent site to rip off producers but its 97% rubbish with no quality control or real choice. I'm happy to pay to get the choice of exactly what I want to see.

We all love natural girls and so many models with beautiful figures defy what anyone else is telling them and damage their bodies with surgery. Many of the best models have retired although there are a trickle of new models coming though. There seems to be a rise in clip sites such as AW and TV phone in channels but personally this does not appeal to me at all.

I'm very picky about which how I get my content. I hate streaming sites. The picture quality and playback is crap. I hate cable or satellite channels content. Why pay for that when you can get more risque stuff cheaper. I want to download it and watch in High Definition.

A lot of our sites update slowly or not at all. I have just paid ?24 to the Undercover Lover.com and they have not put a new video up for many months. Some sites update once or twice time a month and its not good enough.

There is one site which ticks the boxes. 3 which get close, and ALL others miserably fail. In fact there are foreign sites from more than one country which meet this standard. That's foreign sites providing better content of British girls when what is available from here. Its a sorry state of affairs. Maybe there just isn't the money in the industry for producers produce the quality and then market the product to get a good return.

sadly british porn seems to be steeped in broken promises. If you're promising x amount of updates per week to get people to join your site then you should keep to that. It's no different to the companies who promised us hardcore but then when you got the video home it turned out to be less than you'd see in an 18 certificate film at the time and shit picture quality as well. Which is what has always baffled me about the tube/streaming sites. People are paying for in your face enormous hd tv's, blu ray and high end dvd players, even basic laptops have a decent screen etc and yet they are happy to watch crap picture quality porn on them because it's free? i don't actually think so i don't think they'd pay under any circumstances they just watch it because it's there. There's no comparison between the quality of a dvd or legitimate download and those same scenes on a tube site. I'm also baffled as to why the industry doesn't employ people to chase after the tube sites/file sharing sites. Maybe the tv phone chat channels are enough for most people maybe they just want to see a pair of tits and the accompanying sale graphic promising never met full on nudity etc tips them over the edge.

i pay for three sites girlfriends films, reality kings and naughty america and i really get my money's worth out of them. Certainly on the latter two there is no way i will ever get to download everything on them that i'd like but i give it a bloody good go. Maybe several british sites should group together to get an amount of content in one place that people are willing to pay for. At the moment the only british sites i'd consider joining would be terry's and marino's (if i didn't have all the roadtrips dvds) and one of the main reasons would be because i'd trust the pair of them to actually deliver the goods.

I do read the problems facing UK porn and most times I can understand what is going on with it all. I also agree we are up against very stiff competiiton with companies off shore which in turn keeps us on our toes

I still believe that there is so much stuff out there the consumer is spoiled for choice but its like taking a turn down the wrong alley to visit a different shop. Sometimes you get ripped off and other times you might find that Aladdins Cave of goodies.

Ultimately people will return to what they know in the safety they will not get ripped off or to someone they know they can shout at if they arent being treated right

terry, do you think too many british would be producers/directors think it's a fast track to easy money and then when they find that the only real way to make money is to build up an audience over some considerable time then they decide it's not worth it. Hence sites that go without updates for months?

Good point, but I think there's PLENTY on offer from UK sites which are delivering GREAT quality, and continue to do so. My own sites are updated regularly (see http://ukxxxpass.com/updates.php for example), as are great sites like Killergram, SuburbanAmateurs, PureCFNM, PinUpWow, RealPunting and so on.

So I don't think the situation is as dire as you might think. We might not have the $$$ muscle that the Manwin goliaths have, but we have beautiful women, with beautiful accents, getting shagged good and proper. And thats something we cherish! 8)

I don't know if it's dying or not but the quality of british models is going down and down, too many boob jobs and tattoos and girls that don't take great pride in appearance like they used to, reflection of british females in general and not just those who work in the adult biz. Still some top notch ladies around but they are getting rarer by the day.
