she may be from Hull but i'm sure she lived in my town of Worthing at one time, in fact i'm sure i passed her in the street once. The opening scenes of britpop are in Worthing, she's on rollerblades outside the co-op in newland road.

Kyle, you are right. Poppy has said before that she did live in Worthing and that she 'liked the beach'. That Kendo guy who makes those gothic type porn flicks made one starring Poppy called 'Caged'. I have the DVD. It says in the opening credits (I've just checked) that his premises are at 151 Park Road, Worthing. I don't know if that's his studio or just his office, but whichever it is Poppy made at least one film for a Worthing based company and she also had her and her then husband's business located there. I saw online that Poppy Morgan Productions was based in Worthing. Poppy of course later moved to the USA and the last I heard she was still living there, although she appears to have retired again.

"she liked the beach", can't imagine why as its all stones and often piles of rotting foul smelling seaweed is piled up on it.Littlehampton has the decent beaches all sand.
got an idea her ex husband still lives here and of course kendo still does.
i saw an interview on tv and she says she's a trained chef and always wanted to open her own restaurant once she left the porn biz.

I have quite a few Poppy movies, and Britpop is one of them. I watched the opening scene tonight on DVD after you said it was filmed in Worthing. I've been to the town a handful of times. After Poppy whizzes along on her rollerskates she goes into a pub and gets it on with the barman in quite a long scene. You can clearly see the name of the pub above the bar and I thought I would look it up online. It is in the same road as the scene where Poppy rollerskates. Her and her husband really utilised the town in their films.

'Britpop' the movie...

I haven't watched this for a while but I thought I would have another watch of the DVD last night. The DVD got heavy rotation in my DVD player a few months ago but last night was the first watching for a while. I always liked the scene with Poppy and Louise Parker. There is a scene in it that makes me laugh, and contains some quoteable dialogue. Not quite in the league of Quentin Tarintino movies as regards 'quoteable dialague' but not far off:

Man: where's my wife?
Poppy: Gone to New York
Man: New York?
Poppy: Yeah, I don't know why they call it New York, it aint 'new' is it?

Some more:

Man: So my wife's in New York?
Poppy: Yeah, but it's only 20 minutes away.
Man: 20 minutes?
Poppy: Actually it's about 8 hours away.

Brilliant!

I enjoyed the film. Poppy really goes for it in all five scenes. The interview clips are fun to watch aswell.

She certainly did not do any stuff in 2000, she would have been underage!! She started in 2003, Only amatuer stuff so officially her first major roles began in 2004.

Poppy's twin sister has NEVER been involved in the industry, that is correct.

Hello Darren, I have the 'Britpop' DVD where Poppy is playing a character of that name. Poppy whizzes down the street on her rollerskates, then enters a pub. There is a scene where she bonks a guy in the pub, no one else is present, and he is dressed up as a pearly-king. I watched it again this week. You must have been a regular at the pub for them to let you shoot a porn scene in there. Were they quite easy about letting you use their premises?
