not being funny but I think what could have sparked off BigGuy's question is because most other online video sites don't give you a "limit" of how many scenes you can access in a given month, so immediately to me it looks like the BootyBox site is up against the wall here

You've got to make some money, I appreciate that and respect it, but there's so many sites out there that your model of having a limit instantly puts you at the back of other sites.

Personally I don't agree with any form of pay per scene or pay per view porn sites, purely because there's always going to be a torrent of the same video, bought and ripped by one member and flogged for free on the internet if people know where to look, and are desperate for that particular scene.

I think this model is doomed to failure instantly, because to the average punter, you're alienating them at their expense - they sign up, and have to BUY each scene (or in the case of Strictly Broadband, have to PAY to watch every scene.....)

At the same time, there's literally hundreds of free sites, or some mega movie American sites like Videosz or Videobox where you can sign up and have almost unlimited access to every scene for a relatively low price. Yeah they're American girls, but the price means you get 1600 scenes instantly, for the same price as you would get with 1 UK site with a monthly scene limit.

I'm not trying to slag off your site here, I'm just trying to explain my view of how the PPV market doesn't seem to work in the age of the internet, because there's always going to be something else

What's the chances of a UK only, or a predominantly UK focused mega move site, to show the likes of all the superstars like Michelle B, Michelle Thorne, Katie K, Lolly Badcock, Angel Long and others, as well as some of the lesser known stars, and show ALL of their movies in the same place, for the same sort of price per month?

Would that actually be a viable business venture?

I know that's effectively what Strictly Broadband is, but why not change it so it's a completely OPEN site with monthly membership access and not a PPV model?

this way, people can sign up for a fixed price and access any films they want, as many times as they want for as long as they want.... that's what I'm talking about

I've joined up to many sites that allow open access to al the films for a month.

I don;t want PPV

I understand the Bootybox has a PPV option and a monthly pay option i just dont see why the pay monthly option has to be capped.

Although from what i gather Bootybox appears to be in its infancy and does not have hundreds of films to offer yet but why limit the small options available to 16 per month.

There appears to be some good scenes on there but i shall have to consider whether 80 odd pence per film is good value or whether to spend the money elsewhere where i have full access and the films are less overall

80p a film sounds like a bloody good deal to me.

Or do we live in an age where we should expect everything for free?

Next time I book a girl and a guy to shoot a scene maybe I should ask them if they could do the scene for free, dont charge me travel expenses ormy webmaster to update my site for free. Hell why dont I work for free too

Or maybe I should do all this, pay close to a grand for the scene and just sell it to whoever wants it for 80p

Thanks for your comments OEJ, and I completely agree. There's only so far one can go with the price, before you say to yourself...."where is this money I was meant to make back on these films? I'm giving them away!"

In response to the comments on pay-per-scene (and I do realise they weren't malicious comments in any way, just personal views)..

I've added in this option, as back in the day when BlueBird offered it, I thought to myself - what a GREAT idea (both from a consumer's pov and from a producers')

With , if a consumer fancies watching...eg: 'Sahara' getting fucked that evening, but doesn't quite have enough to join for the month, they can. If Cate Harrington's your taste of the day that day.....likewise, you can JUST buy her scene, and walk away without any monthly ties.

Oh, and let's not forget that nowhere else on the internet can you see Holly D doing anal! !wink!

It is in it's infancy you're right, but there's still LOTS more to come in 2011.

Personally I think it's a very good offer to have, and unlike some sites...you own the scene, and you own it for life.

We'll see, sales are going pretty good considering I've not promoted it any further than BGAFD. Maybe in 2011 I may dabble with the business model, but for now it's staying how it is !happy!

I'll be straight up honest, I'm not the biggest consumer of UK Porn at all. Bootybox is the first UK product i've checked out in a long time, admittedly they won me over with the Holly D scene but some of my other favorite performers are around the site or are billed as coming soon.

I like how Bootybox offer both models (a ppv and subscription) and would like to see more sites offer similar. I've scene the odd scene from favorite performers on sites over the years and just that single scene appealed to me, I didn't want to have to fork out 20 quid to watch it. I can appreciate the value in both models and after all each consumer is different and has different requirements.

I wasn't aware there was a cap to members and how much they can download in a month. I used to object to these, a certain European site I'm fond of has caps as does a certain American bondage site, once I actually started doing the maths I can now accept that I am getting some high quality content at less than ?1.00 per scene with a maximum of 20 per month allowed whilst still allowing the production team and company to make enough money back on their work to enable them to continue producing to the standards that are expected of them.

Anyway, Mister C, I'd like to congratulate you on a successful launch, may the praise and success continue through 2011.

Perhaps i put my case accross badly there was no intention to belittle the product (Hey it looks great) and iknow 80p is a bargain when guessing what you have had to pay out to make the scene available.

I just found it strange that it was capped when you pay a monthly fee but hey that's probably just me.
I've no doubt that in the next few weeks my wallet will be a little bit lighter having joined the site
