The VAT makes sense but not factoring it in from the start price doesn't, but then if you're the husband of an MP at least you will know what to claim back ! !oops!

...by the bye, isn't it about time the term 'VAT' was
prosecuted under the Trades Descriptions Act?
It hasn't been solely for 'value-added' items for decades....
'Purchase Tax-reintroduced-by-the-back-door' might be more
accurate.

I have yet to buy anything that has added value after VAT ...........
