This has all been covered before on these forums, from memory I think many of those who posted 2 years ago felt she was very unlucky with the sentence and wouldn't endorse swampthing's view she should be in for life and neither would I. The case was widely reported in my local Brighton paper the Argos, she was caught up with a violent partner who is apparently still violent towards his current girlfriend. In fact at the first trial the jury reached no verdict so it went to a retrial June 2007, she got 2 years but then in September 2007 sentence was increased to 4 years or 4 years 9 months, i'm not sure which. I was only thinking about this yesterday, she's now done two years, is there no time off for good behaviour, I thought the general view was if well behaved you can get at least a third off the sentence or a bit more or is she going to have to do the full time. Especially if it were a sentence with no added proviso that you have to serve so long before even being considered for parole.
still only 28 years old i think, sure persons in the business like Terry Stephens and Pumpkin studios said could never think it was in her character to go and stab someone.
