Quite bizarre that they've obviously spent a fortune on content and yet have all these issues with the site...

Early days yet, but not great PR.

Although the BB team is in Vegas, we are monitoring responses to the launch on BGAFD. Firstly, thank you for you interest and comments. The points made about Preview sizes, embedded trailers and billing issues are well made and are being adressed. As to scene lenths, they vary around the standard 30 minutes. We expected that this would be assumed by informed consumers. However, if even BGAFD forum posters are not aware of this fact, then clearly run times will need to be posted: no problem in doing that. However, test purchases have been made and there is 100% functionality there. Everyone has differing views about price and value. The consumer choice is to pay for a particular experience / commodity or not. The figures for the first day of launch show that many thousands of BB fans have spoken with their credit cards. Time will of course tell as the medium term market trend. On behalf of everyone at BB: producers, writers, directors, crew, talent and post production, thank you for your compliments as to quality. The launch was intended merely to provide a fairly representative cross-sample of content. The next updates will see increasing volumes of releases. We will be interested to see if those posting less favorable comments are prepared to put a fiver where their mouth is, or whewther they prefer to comment without actually watching. Over to you. For everyone else - thanks for your interest and support and enjoy !

But what am I paying for? A 320*240 WMV at 350kbps? A 720*576 DivX at 1500kbps?

What happens when I download a scene and find it won't play because of a missing codec? For me that's not a problem for others on here?

Until you provide this information, I'll keep my money in my pocket.

OK now were getting somewhere but at that rate and with a 30 minute scene then the file size would be around 480Mb at 640*480. I'm un-metered so no problem for me, but folks with cheap and cheesy broadband with a 1GB limit are going to be struggling.

I honestly think you need to state runtime, that it's high quality WMV and also the filesize.

Also are you using DRM?

I know my comments have been negative, but i did try and purchase a clip. I went through the hassle of signing up 3 times and trying 2 different credit card numbers to purchase a clip, your logs will show that. Its a lot more hassle than i or anybody else should ever have to go through to get some porn.

With the exceptions of 2,3,5 in the points i made above, every other one of them is a legit issue and one that should never have surfaced on a live site. Regardless if you think ive just come to dig at bluebird all the other points need to be addressed.

I was well prepared to put a fiver where my mouth was as you said, but bluebird were unfortunately not prepared to deliver me content, not through lack of trying my side.
