Ben Dover is to porn is what Scorcese/Ken Loach/Sidney Lumet are to mainstream cinema...he is a genius. I still think his early work when he pretented to be someone else other than ben dover porn director was when he was at his best. But he still is the best in the business.
p.s. If you are reading this Ben use some more mature 40+ women in your movies please.

Back in the 90's someone wrote a script for us involving riding schools with nice tight joppers and uniforms and stuff. The idea was to make a movie with me and Ben. It never happened as the idiots who were putting the money up had no real cash to make it the way we wanted. I always laughed as Ben's ego would never allow me to go first on the title credits leaving it as Ben Dover and Phil McCavity.
A few years ago we went shopping for teanage knickers at my local stores and he used my place for a shoot. I got the impresion he had got fed up with porn and somehow regrets the fact he made his money in filth not in the pop industry. I think he knows he has been lucky, but you can't argue he has worked bloody hard for it, so have the team he worked with.
