Prince appears in the credits. It was when he had adopted a symbol in place of the name 'Prince' and the symbol appears in the credits against something like 'Man with his head in an icehole'. Just a Coen bros joke.
Similarly, Charles Napier who was in at least one of the Russ Meyer films is in most (if not all) of Jonathan Demme's films, and John Landis always tried to include 'see you next Tuesday' in his films. You're asking 'What's the relevance of this?' Weeell ... in 'An American Werewolf In London' the film which is playing in the adult/porno cinema is called 'See You Next Tuesday' and features none other than Linzi Drew !
