I've been banging on about the amount of piracy on QXL for a while, and whilst I'm glad this will stop it, I do think it's throwing the baby out with the bathwater as there are plenty of legitimate sellers on there as well...such is life, I guess!
Simple way around this problem (and indeed, to combat the piracy of software on Ebay) is to have a facility in the terms of service whereby any member found selling pirated material will have their name and address details passed on to the copyright holder for them to pursue legal action. If you don't agree, you can't sign up, and as it's voluntary, I doubt it would cause any legal problems vis a vis the Data Protection Act, although I'm no lawyer so I might be wrong....
