Forum for non-UK girls?

Trying to find out the identity of a minx I mentioned in previous post. Turns out she?s not a Brit after all but probably a Yank. Although there are info sites for US girls like the iafd (internet adult film database), none seem to have a forum like BGAFD.

Anyone know of any sites that do?

Ta

: Any idea who the girl is here tying up Teresa Scott? Is she : :a Brit? She?s appeared in Club, High Society etc.

You could try the USENET newsgroup rec.arts.movies.erotica - a moderated newsgroup read by many in and "around" the US industry

There is something like 3-4 *thousand* new releases in the US every year. Poor Peter will lose his life, his job and his fortune if he is to watch every single one of them (not to mention his libido :-)). The perverse blessing of censorship here is that it has kept output low, more manageable and centralized (a lot is through the cable channels); arguably it has also resulted in superior quality in many aspects, e.g. better girl-girl scenes with fewer toys (which get the censor's chop at least in the sat channels), fewer ghastly boobjobs (although this is sadly a losing cause here as well). But that's another matter altogether.

A large portion of Peter's database is compiled from secondary sources of information (AVN cast lists etc). His not inconsiderable viewing experience is invaluable, particularly on the very old and out of print stuff, but he is not God. This means that errors creep in and why it is very important for people aware of such to report them to us so that we correct them.

Pictures: Peter's database has pictures. That is, Peter's personal version does. He has decided not to put them on the web version since he would not want some litigation-happy Yankee :-) coming after him for breach of copyright.

I most certainly will. Perhaps you might want to contact Peter at some point (aarle@bart.nl) yourself. He is nice enough and doesn't bite (that I know of...)

Yep, but I don't think Alec is suggesting this - he's just saying that is a requirement for accuracy in the British (and to some extent European) market. Without doubt the iafd is a splendid achievment, but as you point out the scale of the project tends to preclude this detailed work in what is after all a rather small part of the global output.

In reference to that, and Alec's thought that:

> > If someone would like to use this database to [compile
> > corrections to iafd ] they are very welcome to do so.

perhaps one way to proceed might be to make available the "latest and greatest" state of play in Alec's raw notes (as, when and if he feels they are "release-ready") as a sort of beta-release for the actual site update, either via a link here or perhaps via email to the appropriate address given on iafd.

Alternatively, the bgafd site itself is, I would think, easily accurate and useful enough to qualify as a "secondary source" worth attending...

One other iafd amendment, BTW, in the interim.. the redhead in Goin' Solo 2 is Alison Arbour, rather than "Jenny Mae" I'm pretty sure it's not Alison Arbour in Buttmans BEBTA, though. "Lucy Davis" is actully Lucy Gresty, and "Cheryl Gondeux", as we recently discovered, Jo Hobbs. If only producers didn't lie so much on their boxcovers.... Does anyone know why they do this?

I fully understand the reasns for the errors and didn't mean to be crticial pf Peter van Aarle. iafd is a suberb resource. I can understand the time problems from my own experience doing this. It would also take a huge amount of webspace to have pictures of all the girls on iafd as well I imagine.

When my wearing time with the lenses gives me more time I may well send off more details direct.

Glad to receive your contributions to this forum by the way.

BTW re Cathy Barry calling herself Nicky - you don't by any chance mean Nicky Hepting do you - similar looks but a different girl?

And so is the BGAFD, and one badly needed by the beleaguered UK porn consumer as well...

I honestly think that it's fear of litigation more than webspace (of which we are not destitute as I understand). The pictures exist after all.

It's a pleasure. Although I love rame (being my bloody spiritual child and all), I find the forum here refreshingly friendly compared to our sometimes combative newsgroup :-).

Unless I am blind, mad or worse, wasn't Cathy Barry one of the Adult Channel's presenter girls, billed as Nicky?

(blind or mad, which one? :-))

Cathy Barry and Nicky - maybe she was. I have had periods when I haven't subscribed to the Adult Channel, e.g. for a long while before about ten months ago; so you may be right. She was certainly called Cathy Barry when she appeared on SXTV not long ago.

Thanks for the compliments.

And Kathy Barry when she appeared on TVX's 'Caesars Rude Arena' in 1998 - although she was smaller then and had a piercing which she no longer *carries*.
