I suppose it must seem wierd. But basically, it's a massive industry, with millions and millions of people working in it and using it. The vast majority of these who have kids are great mothers and fathers, most of which are too scared to tell their teen because of public perceptions and hypocrisies.
We wanted to find a way to tackle the taboos without being tittilating and visual about it and look at the subject of sex and the adult industry and people who work in it a little differently.
Our remit is to do this from a teens perspective.

Let the flaming begin!!!! LOL! Seriously, there should be a sign up on the BGAFD home page to warn journos and documentary film makers to: Beware! Trespassers from all walks of the media will be subjected to a fiery tongue lashing!
It might be a better idea to contract an insider in the industry to make your films and grant final cut approval before broadcasting....Somebody who's trustworthy...somebody who's liked for instance...a person of principals perhaps?...Somebody who actually makes films within the industry even...Any ideas who you could get?

For goodness sake, we aren't 'mixing' pornography and kids!!! In fact there won't be ANY pornography, sex, nudity in the programme at all.
It's talking about attitutes.
I haven't had this kind of response from anywhere else! I may not have explained the programme clearly enough here.

A female adult industry director had suggested this site as a possible source of professionals, but thanks for your time all the same. Certainly a different experience from the women I've spoken to about this but I suppose, enlightening all the same.
Good luck with your endeavours.

I can't be bothered to search for it, but someone else came to the forum to ask with help on kids whose parents do porn...
I don't think you'd find too many who'd be willing to take part in a film like that, no matter how well intentioned. The porn industry has been stung one too many times by film makers with "good intentions", who then go out and make dishonest, "look at the evil people in porn" programmes. Those involved in the industry are either portrayed as complete bastards, out to do bad deeds to unsuspecting virginal good girls, or the girls are portrayed as tragic cases who need our (the Great British Public) understanding and sympathy.
For me, this proposed film would attract Daily Mail type headlines, do nothing but bad for the people involved and I think you're banging your head against a brick wall with this idea.
Mixing children and porn in any context is just asking for trouble and you surely must know this.

Since so many of you TV people are fascinated with the porn industry ('cause it puts bums on seats), why not promote the industry?
For starters, the prohibitive and constraining laws we labour under in the name of democracy.
Where and how the public can buy product - which they obviously want.
Restriction of trade via the R18 regulations.
etc. etc.
You profess to like controversy, so show some guts.

Charlotte...
Most in the industry try to keep their youngish children away from knowing exactly what they do. Three of us had a chat on Sat about this subject, as one has an 18 y.o. son who doesn't know what daddy does. The father is divorced and so his son doesn't live with him. The other ones wife has only just found out what he does... Thank god I'm single
The problem here is that researchers pop up all the time looking to do a documentary that is sympathetic to the biz etc. Unfortunately not many of them if any have been 100% sympathetic when aired. This is why you've received the repies above and I'm sure more will follow.
