as far as the law and regulations go....it's all swings and roundabouts. Whatever happens in the U.S. has repercussions worldwide. They are going through an ultra-conservative phase at the moment which has led to all this 2257 nonsense. Really it is just an attempt to make life hard for the pornographers. Once the republicans get booted out of office things will ease off again.

Most titles shown as softcore on British TV channels have hardcore equivalents, some of which are released on DVD. We're hoping to announce, shortly, a tie-up with one of the major porn channels to release their hardcore versions for streaming on Strictly Broadband. Should be able to say more about this within the week... watch this space.

I for one couldnt care less about r18 being seen on cable for the pure selfish fact that now I've got into distribution . I know it would effect sales. I wouldnt mind so much but seeing that cable companies are offering such shit offers for the hard version and demanding to won them for life with numerous repeats I've decided that getting into distribution was the best thing for me. I now have control over how the product is sold and therefore more in charge of my own destiny, now more than ever.

I don't blame the likes of those who subscribe to cable channels wanting everything to go hardcore because they'll be getting literally more bang for their buck. My concern is cable companies don't offer enough for me to fuck myself through distribution.

I would like to call on my producing compadres to do the same. I sincerely believe you will not be much better for it unless the cable companies offer a more equitable sum for the product because, believe me, in time it will have a knock on effect also and you'll be doing yourself out of pocket as new producers come along and try to undercut you by virtually giving the stuff away for a fraction of the cost.

I for one couldn't give a toss about broadbad. I have a lovely new 32 inch Loewe TV and a scabby old PC. I want to watch HC on my big screen, not my PC. Also Nachovx I like SKY for the sports packages, (as a serious golfer I cannot see the major events on terrestrial)and DAB radio stations. I can't have different dishes on my property due to the lease and don't want to shell out any more money than necessary. I want us normally adjusted, adult British citizens to watch what my neighbours in France, Germany, Spain etc can watch as part of normal digital packages, without the hassle of extra cards etc.
