no show excuses, wow.
I've heard it all from a migraine to a miscarriage!
No disrespect emma but if when my granmother was recently ill in hospital, i turned down work, as we as a family were predicting the worst. she did die in the end and it would have made a credible excuse, except i had the forethought not to let it.
Like any female city exec on about ?200- 500/day, they dont let the company shareholders down like some models let us silly porn producers down.....
JUST TELL US YOU HAVE BEEN ESCORTING ALL NIGHT, OR A BETTER PAID JOB HAS TURNED UP.

I just love the replies to my original post seems we have all been let down and i guess i was due my first time.
the model in question still has not surfaced but what i get now is her other so called half trying to give me a load of bull thru messenger etc asking me what she was supposed to be doing at this shoot!!
dont worry if she is reading this i didnt give away the fact you were doing a porn shoot i just said i was a prospective emplpyer to which he replied she doesnt have a job to which i rotflmfao
some models need to get there house in order and stop biting the hand that feeds it where would ANY of them be without the producers who actually book them???

I was being let down by models for shoots 15 years ago, back when Frank Thring was a model agent; back when Marcus was a model agent.
And in those days, we'd have spent around ?600 on props for the studio, the make-up girl was getting ?100 and we had our own in-house photographer standing around, scratching his arse.
Models have always been flighty creatures. That's their nature, and in those days a lot of them were escorting. You could always tell who, too, because they were the ones with Pagers. Oh, yes. Pagers. The ultimate in high tech. A couple of years down the line, those were the girls with mobile phones the size of desks...
What I did enjoy were Frank's various excuses for no-shows. My favourite was the girl whose elderly relative died. Twice.
I pointed it out to him, and he immediately rang her back (allegedly), then called me to say she'd actually broken her leg. Classic.

About 18 months ago I had a cracking 'excuse' from a model (who at least let me know she wasn't coming)
"My mum won't let me do it. She wants me to be a prostitute instead."

do u think in the case of penthouse that might be why they always use really old pics from the 70's/80's - cos they havent gotten any new girls to actually turn up since then?

Ever thought that someone at the hospital kept turning the phone off as they didn't recognise the number and wanted to keep the phone clear for family and loved ones?
All this abuse from someone who get's untested blokes to attend his events and pay ?90 to ?100 a time for the privilege of being photographed, then reselling the pic online.
