What a cavalcade of nonsense. Yes, I went to a private school, but my parents didn't pay for it as (a) they didn't have the money - income well below the level for 100% university grant, and (b) they didn't need to pay a penny because I am clever and got a government-funded scholarship. As for the yuppie accusation, anyone who knows me would laugh heartily. I guarantee you are far closer to being a yuppie than me. I bet you have a credit card and a mortgage, for example (two things I am banned from owning) and go to the theatre and on foreign holidays (two things I have never had the inclination to do). The story about the Irish pop star is cast-iron fact. I know the person who held her together while awaiting the ambulance, and the story has since been run in several newspapers and magazines (obviously with the two protaganists' identities well hidden). You might like to read up about the Catholic church and the preponderence of anal sex within Catholic socities (bizarrely, it is pretty much the only form of contraception not outlawed by the faith). If porn is viewed as dirty by the majority of society, how come any poll on the subject comes back with the vast majority of respondents happily admitting to ownership or at least viewing of dirty movies? The only explanation I can give for you being so much at odds with the prevailing mood in the country that I am aware of must be down to an age difference. I am in my early 30s, I assume you are much, much older, hence the differing social stigma and backwards/old-fashioned atitude that you appear to encounter amongst your peers. This meal we're bringing our parents to - are you buying? And yes, of course I made the 85% figure up, but that doesn't make it any less valuable. 68.3% of all percentile statistics are fictional.

I am 22 so a lot younger than you, and my friends are late teens early twenties. Whilst we joke amongst ourselves about what type, how much porn we have that doesn't mean we tell each others parents about it or go down the pub and chat to girls about taking it up the Gary Glitter. If the story is true then just name her, there's all sorts of things said about all sorts of people on this site, so why be coy about this? No one In the world is going to believe that your mate held Andrea Corr's arse together covered in blood and shit waiting for the ambulance unless you can prove it!

"Thats because your firm is in the adult industry. And by the way, the guy you picked on over the "sexism in the workplace" issue is a fireman."

I wasn't picking on him at all - I was simply having a laugh while stirring the pot. Something that you usually appreciate.

"I would like to see you do some hard work for a change"

Hey man, have you seen all this I've put together from scratch? I?ve burnt the midnight oil every evening for the past 6 weeks or so. It?s been quite a strain and still my in tray keeps filling up.

"And get JJs videos sent to him."

JJ knows very well he'll get any outstanding videos. I note that he's never mentioned that my PA 'Angela' sent him special vouchers entitling him to free videos for being such a good punter.

Don't be silly. Whoever it was, it was (a) years ago, and I have no idea why Magoo is bringing it up now, (b) I don't have to prove anything to anyone; there were several witnesses and the incident is widely known throughout the entertainment industry, and most importantly (c) it is of absolutely no relevance or import whatsoever to this website.

Picking on me....?

I certainly didn't read that into PR Mann's response... I did have a chuckle at it though, I must admit... were he to work for, not just the fire service but any of the public service - nay, lets go as far as to say any local authority or quasi-governmental organisation and I think he'd soon realise that his "rebellious" response would be not only futile - it would be outr and out futile.... I do flaunt the ludicrous "regulations" - FREQUENTLY... but not to simply be rebellious, but because I believe I am within my rights and because I am willing to justify my actions and stand up and be countred....

I genuinely think PR Mann's response was tongue in cheek - and though we'd probably all liek to take his "course of action" - it just isn't practical - we ned to tackle these issues froma broader persepctive and on a wider plain - and I am all for standing up and being counted...

You understood my post perfectly John. Of course it wouldn't be practical for most of us with mortgages and commitments to take that course of action. But wouldn't it be wonderful to subject those earnest, politically correct, ponces to the full force of the cavalier, devil may attitudes of our laddish youth. Just imagining the shock and horror on their poncy, politically correct, middle-class, faces puts a jaunty spring into one's step, don't you find?

But even if that course of action wouldn't be practical we should all be taking guerrilla type action against these creeps, till our numbers have swelled sufficiently to confront tem on the political battlefield.

I guess magoo had a few more Special Brews than was customary for a Friday evening. He can occasionally get a little irritable and paranoid at such times.

I'll deal with you later, Magoo. Where's me cat-o'- nine gone.......?
As for Dibsy, he is already cognisant of my long-standing dissatisfaction, so I will not go further into it here except to say that I'm fairly relaxed about it: would that all Life-lessons were so cheaply-bought. Though there's not much point in vouchers when I can't even get what I ordered in the first place, is there? Plus I don't see the point of wasting my time and effort getting drawn into various slanging-matches.
But do give me and certain other people a thought, next time you embark upon one of your Promote-a-Thons.

I am sorry for dragging other people into my rant. I also feel I was unduly aggressive to PR Mann. However I am sure he didnt take offence as he is well aware of my liking of fine wines and cheap lager so he will make allowances for the occasional irrational outburst.

Mr Mann...

But even if that course of action wouldn't be practical we should all be taking guerrilla type action against these creeps, till our numbers have swelled sufficiently to confront tem on the political battlefield.

I reservedly agree... I take slight issue to the word"guerilla" - omit that word and introduce the word... errr.... what word would fit - lets say "brazen" - and I would wholeheartedly agree!

I'm quite prepared to talk porn and argue its merits with anyone... quite willing to take on the moralists and the feminists and their herd of sheep... I have always been one to "speak as I find", and in recent months Porn is one subject I am now prepared to argue in favour of...

I have to say that in times gone by I have probably not had enough ammunition in my arsenal with which to argue against the anti-porn tribe, consequently I have chosen to sit on the fence, look the other way - see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil sorta style.... but not any more...

I feel I now have a pretty powerful opinon, good justifiable arguments - I don't think the industry is anything to be ashamed of and I have to honestly say that I would be PROUD to be associated with it (someone gimme a job!) The industry dopes not belong in the shadows, moralists and feminists have supressed this industry for too long and it ois high time we were all prepared to be a little more "brazren", prepared to stand up and be counted...

As I said - one individual cannot take on a quasi-governmental organisation alone... but one individual can do his own thing without purposely drawing attention to himself - and that's why I take issue with the word "guerilla" - because to me it intimates an agressive assault, an attention seeking move... there is no need - we just need to do our own thing, do it sensibly, don't purposely seek attention or try to offend - then, if they come at you for doing your own thing- THEN TAKE THEM ON - and take them on with good, sensible, justified argument - meet their fire with fire....

And as you say (Mr Mann) - if we can broaden the size of OUR group of followers - then just maybe people in positions of power will realise that they do have to start taking this industry setriously... It is a contentious issue - but at the moment, no politician wants to upset the status quo - the pro-porn message is supressed and therefore there is no need for them to give the industry a second thought - bring the poro-porn message to the fore - then we'll see things come to head...

That time is coming!
