AKA Nadia's latest DVD release.
I have emailed LezLoveVideo about the postage thing (ie charing $10 to UK residents) but have been royally ignored. I'm simply not going to line their pockets with over $20 that blatantly doesn't go on postage at all, but am anxious to get this and I know this is the only way at present.
So what does one do? I need some kind of confirmation of the deal that Big Jim recently secured for UK consumers. Ho hum. I thought the days of overpricing were behind us.

'we do, automatically, adjust any orders to the UK of 3 DVDs or less to only $10. but this is not overt on our site, it will be soon. a lot of people had complained about this and we are changing it.'
From what I understand, they are a pretty straight company and have a good reputation with their customers, so my advice would be to risk it. If they do charge you the $30 postage price, then e-mail me privately and I will resolve the matter personally.
And while I'm here, just thought I would drop in an extra plug by letting people know that the soft version of Nadia's Sweet Revenge will begin broadcasting on Television X on 27th April.

Hi BJ. In reply to one of my earlier posts you said you went with Lezlove as sole suppliers of this vid cos they offered you the best deal, or words to that effect. Most potential buyers will be unaware of this site or this discussion and will be put off by the postage rip-off and you'll end up with only about 10% (if you're lucky) of your possible sales. Doesn't sound like a good deal to me!
Why not put it out via one of the more user-friendly suppliers? After all, $10 for ONE DVD??? How much did it cost you the last time you posted a DVD in the UK? About 60p, I reckon.

Not sure about the postage rip off, as in my experience a lot of American distributors charge around the $10 mark for posting material to the UK.
As I have also stated in my previous e-mail, most European distributors didn't want to go near it because it was a girl / girl feature. I could have tried harder and found a smaller distributor that posted from within the UK, but as we all know posting uncertificated material within our borders is against the law and I'm too pretty to go to jail.
Additionally, Lezlove have a very good reputation in the industry both with producers and customers and as for the financial aspect, the cost of the DVD plus postage comes to $45 or roughly ?30. I've not been down Soho for a while but from what I understand, there prices aren't much lower.
Finally, I don't apologise for getting the best deal for myself as it means I can continue to produce more and more titles as well as being able to actually live.

Jim, Hope you aren't taken offense, fella. Of course we (or at least I) want to support you and all of our valued producers. I'm acutely aware as I choose to purchase rather then download products, that I am in effect helping to maintain your living and allowing you to continue doing what you do. That's the main reason I buy and not just download. As you'll appreciate though, there are many rip off sites and scam artists out there and it's made even the best of us a little jaded (no pun intended) when it comes to looking outside of our normal sources to buy the goods.

I don't begrudge you getting the best deal for yourself, BJ, cos that way you can continue to produce your excellent output, without which the world would be a vastly poorer place. What I question is whether a supplier who puts off the majority of potential customers with an up-front $30 postage charge will shift enough disks/tapes to make it the best deal for you. Not many people will know about the $10 option and even that will deter quite a few.
I'm having to think about it very carefully myself, even though I'm absolutely chomping at the bit to see the vid. As regards Soho, I wouldn't know, I haven't been there for years. It was always (and presumably still is) a total rip-off area, which doesn't make it a very attractive proposition as I live over 100 miles away.
I buy my videos and DVDs mostly by mail order or one of my local Private shops and usually pay ?15 - ?20 (yep, even in a DS emporium if you haggle), which is why I hesitate before buying from this site's main sponsor, although I have been doing so for many years and will continue to do so whenever appropriate.
I don't know how Lezlove compare with other stateside suppliers like Jaded, Five Star or Excalibur as I prefer the British product which they don't usually touch, but nobody has made much complaint in this forum about their pricing, so I assume they must be reasonable. They also seem to have no problem with all-girl features as you suggest the Europeans do, although, again, none of the European outlets I buy from have such a problem.
I don't want this to come over as a rant against you, far from it. I have your interests at heart as well as your potential customers, me included. Presumably what makes a 'good deal' for you is the amount of the return you get on each unit sold, but your total return must depend on the numbers sold and if the supplier sells only a limited number because it puts off customers with high postage charges, the result must surely be a low return?
The other hazard, as I believe I said in an earlier thread, is that high prices, whether for the item itself or the postage, will encourage pirates to dole out cheap copies and all the customers who've baulked at the Lezlove charges will flock to them. Not good at all.
I wish you well with your sales - nobody deserves it more.
Btw, when will the hardcore version of The Big Bang be available to the majority of us who can't get it on broadband from TAC's web site?

Which could all be fixed with a simple clause in the shipping section highlighted in bold markings
I suspect the reason this hasn't been the case up to now is that the majority of the buyers of their vids/dvds are US based

You have all made good points and I have to agree with just about all of them. I apologise if my posting sounded aggressive, it was not conciously meant to do so, but when people post on a public forum and use the words 'rip off' and lots of exclamation marks, then I will naturally defend myself.
Again, just as with earlier discussions about the strength of the adult channels, I have very little power in effecting change to larger companies that I work for.
I have posted a direct quote from Lezlove on this thread saying that they were going to change the wording on their website regarding UK postage. However, if they choose not to, then there is very little that I can do to 'force' them.
Please remember that I am but one producer amongst many in this industry and that Nadia's Sweet Revenge is my first independent hardcore release.

I ordered Nadia's Sweet Revenge & another dvd from them it will show $30 for postage when you order but when you check your account online or your invoice they only charge you $10.Delivery within a week as well.
By the way Nadia/Pixie looks fantasic in it.Highly recommended!
