I also responded to this mail on Omars site and as per usual it was deleted. Being a fan of both LDM and Omar's films, I took great interest in the potential collaboration between the two... but like most others I remain very sceptical that anything will ever happen. Omar's site is absolutely rubbish (That?s my opinion). The term propaganda springs to mind, when reading all the adds his Webmaster has thrown into this forum, but what makes it even worse is that his Webmaster deletes almost everything that he/they do not like. When I read the 3 or mails between Score and his Webmaster... I was amazed at Omars WM audacity in asking when Score last published a Interracial Photo shoot (The answer is July 2002) when they have a Warning: Abusive messages (particularly those of a racist nature) will not be tolerated. We can trace any messages sent to the board, and get in contact with the author's ISP if necessary. If you don't want to risk losing your internet access, just avoid writing hateful material, it's as simple as that... So then why use words of a Racist nature against Mr David Uwate (Just for info, Scores movie's are just as rubbish as Omars).
Magoo is right, we dont care about the Industries squabbles and Propaganda... why dont you just leave it all to Ben Dover to keep us all hard and happy with the quality he produces.

It was edited in order to pre-empt possible escalation of the thread into a flame war. Apologies for not posting a message about it. Though sometimes such a message can lead to yet another argument.
So you think personal opinions cannot be defamatory (using the term in a non-techincal, non-legal sense)? Odd logic. Yours certainly contained innuendo which might have caused offence. And yours was not the only post which was edited. Another was edited for the same reason.
As I've said in another thread on a totally unrelated argument, most readers of the forum have no personal knowledge of the facts and once both sides have expressed their views it is best to let the subject drop.

My personal opinion:- the thread should never have been posted, it,s an unnedifying site to see people that work in the Industry bitchin at each other, and serves no purpose, only a hand full of people will read this-or not if it gets deleted, which I hope it does.

Alec, I'm not saying that personal opinion cannot be defamatory - I was saying outright that there was nothing defamatory in the comments I made... I can quote chapter on verse on the law surrounding defamation if you like, but I think such a topic is totally OFF TOPIC - however, if you want the low down - please email me...
My reference to "personal opinion" was for the benefit of stating clearly that I was coming from a PERSONAL POINT OF VIEW - not reflective of the board or of others...
Could my posts have caused offence? No more so than those of both Mr "Score" and Mr "Omar Webmaster" - I was simply adding my personal opinion... If they want to bring their discussion into the public arena then those in the public arena should be able to make their own non-defamatory comments...
I stress again - my published opinion were NOT defamatory, if the individuals choose to take offence then that that is completely up to them, but if they want to come on here slating each other, they should be prepared for a slating themselves.

The fact that I don't know waht precisely is defamatory in legal terms was what made me state in brackets that I wasn't using the term legally.
They might well take offence and then the thread would escalate, which is what I was trying to prevent. Read the last paragraph of my post again. that's my position and in the end if you don't like it, you'll just have to lump it.
