Yeah, stop being a bore DMCA and get a life. Or maybe you're just winding us up?

I to have noticed that the proprietors have used images from a few of my photos and videos to illustrate various things, but so what? I'm flattered that they thought them worthy of reproducing.

I was going to post a Q. in the O/T Forum re Copyright in pics. but it might be relevant here.
Yahoo Groups and now SmartGroups (are they part of Yahoo?) advertise pics for sale. But since the pics in question are generally "lifted" from websites the copyright doesn't belong to Yahoo who shouldn't be selling them.

I think it's meant to be an allusion to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act
passed in the USA a year or so back. Our 'expert' (he's probably expert at
nothing more than the good old fashioned 'Hand Shandy') has clearly
stumbled upon this somewhat controversial piece of legislation, probably
after he got caught downloading ripped off MP3s from Kazaa.

Feeling somewhat bitter that his internet piracy ambitions have been
thwarted, our high-school dropout friend with the suspect English skills
trawls the net looking for people to impress with his vast legal knowledge,
hampered in his quest only by his tenuous grasp on reality, and the fact
that his mummy has taken away his broadband connection.

Firstly check out the definition of 'fair use'.

Secondly learn that (despite Rumsfeld and co think) US law i.e DCMA does NOT apply to the rest of the world.

Boy did I enjoy reading this! Ain't it amazing how people think porn pros/fans are a) thick, b) humourless, c) money-grubbing scum.

Once again BGAFD proves all three of the above are way off the mark (here at least!) Well done folks and thanks to the troll for putting a spring in my step and a smile on my face...

You are so wrong about DMCA being just American !!

I send a DMCA notice to sites illegally using images, that as the photographer I own the copyright, at least once every 10 days. The Digital MillenniumAct of 1998 is recognised world wide.

The webmaster must remove the illegal content or any other property of the copyright owner from the offending site with 24 hours of the notice being served on them by fax and email. The DMCA notice is sent to anyone involved with the offending site to include their hosts and credit card processors who in the case of the offending items not being removed during the specified 24hrs have to to take the site off line or face fines of up to $100,000.

Check this out so you know what a DMCA Notice looks like :
Which I keep on line to help others who don't know what to do when they have a problem. This has been used many times and as with myself 100% successfully !
