Hi,
Amateur photographer here looking to do my first shoot. Posted last year but response was minimal so thought I'd try again.
In London, but can travel. Ideally you'll have somewhere to shoot, but I'm happy to hire somewhere too.
Email me if interested.
Kind Regards,
Jim xxx

Re: Amateur photographer looking for models
May I ask if and how you're approaching any models directly instead of putting up casting calls?

Hi,
Yes, going to use AIR to contact directly and have also been trying AdultWork.
Anything you'd recommend?
Jim

Re: Amateur photographer looking for models
My recommendations are to be open and upfront about what you're looking for from the shoot.
Your opening post is pretty vague to be honest and most models won't hang about and probe for basic details but if you explain what levels you'd like the model to work up to, confirm if you want stills and/or video, say how long you wish to shoot for, ask if she can accommodate for shoots or if she travels and ask the model's rates for working to those levels, you stand a much better chance of a reply as you'll show you've done your homework.
Getting started is definitely the most difficult part as a lot of models won't work with photographers who haven't got many references but once you've broken that initial barrier, it's really easy to book shoots.
