Not sure why she would shut down her website :/ I know of paysites running out there, where the girls have zero input in them anyways... that doesn't mean that new people won't still join them...

this suggests that she's up for a return.... yet her post above clearly states she's left the industry, with no intention to return

therefore, how is this not misleading to paying subscribers?? her "official" Twitter account suggesting she's coming back, and her official site with the exact wording on the home page "WEEKLY UPDATES"

since her site will no longer be updated with new content, why would anyone want to subscribe?? similarly, why continue to mislead fans with the suggestion that she's considering a return?

That conversation was talking about making a return to Twitter, not the industry. I was having that conversation before I announced my retirement from the industry. I've literally just announced my retirement on Twitter, which was about a week ago. So no false advertisement there.

I don't understand how I'm being dishonourable... I have a lot of personal friends I DM on Twitter and I will still be updating it because my old fans still want to keep in touch and see what I'm up to, even though I clearly stated that I have retired.

If you look, that tweet was made on 7th August, before anybody knew I had retired. Before I had announced it anywhere. So I wouldn't be telling people I would make a return if I hadn't (at that point) retired.

Also, if you see, I am on the cover of Fiesta magazine this month which is now my profile picture. Even though I have retired, I am still being published. Before my retirement I made a deal with Galaxy Publications so you will be seeing me on the cover of their magazines a lot over the next year. So even though I will no longer be modelling, sets shot before my retirement will still be published. So just to reiterate, even though I have quit the physical modelling, my photo sets and videos will still be published and old content shot over the years with all of the many international companies I have worked with will be regurgitated, no doubt. For this very reason, I feel it is my duty to remain active on social media, to talk to old fans and keep them up to date with what it happening in my world. As I mentioned earlier I will also be speaking with friends on Twitter, which I have always done. That Twitter account is as much my personal account as it is my work and that is not dishonourable (as I have been accused of being by an earlier poster).

I still have fans and I will always be Katie K, whether I have retired or not. My work will always be out there and people will always want to comment on it.

It's interesting you are still in touch with Cate Harrington, she has retired as everyone knows but she still checks her Adultwork page. She told us all on this forum a while back that she got married and that appears to be why she retired from making porn films, although she continued to model and do webcamming after that. Earlier this year she gave it all up for good.

What I find slightly odd about porn girls who go under stage-names is that their real name sometimes appears in places connected to their porn work. I remember buying something from Cate once and the place on the internet I had to go in order to purchase the thing stated her real name next to where it said 'proprietor'. I hadn't intended to discover this it was just staring me in the face. I thought this might be someone else as I, slightly naively, thought 'Cate' was her real name. I put the name into Google out of curiousity and it took me to her personal Facebook page. Nice photos of 'Cate' and her husband on there.

I still find it weird how the Katie K site is still live, and still has the comment "weekly updates" which suggests to potential subscribers that there will be new content uploaded each week of Katie

The site might be being run by someone else now. Sometimes that happens. Sometimes someone closes down their site, and then a site is set up by someone else, as that person, under the same domain name.

true, but if that's actually happened, then Katie's webmaster must have handed over everything as the site hasn't changed since earlier this year.
