Alec...I have a suggestion:
Now that the Forum is being "split" into sections, how about a separate topic forum for "trading"...a "marketplace" forum sort of thing.
I've noticed that the "For Sale" or "For Trade" posts take up a bit of space in the regular forums, and it might be best for all interested parties if these were in a specific area.
Just an idea )
Web-Site suggestion
Re: Web-Site suggestion
Sounds like a good idea a TRADERS forum. Karol, are you pretty as well as clever? :0)
Re: Web-Site suggestion
In practice a percentage of trades will be of pirate copies. We can't stop it, but don't want to encourage it. A separate forum would encourage trading and thus encourage piracy. Anyone who has bought porn vids in the UK since before the change in the R18 regulations has bought pirate copies; so I realise the contradictions in this, but it isn't in our interests to encourage one of our forums to be used for piracy.
I vaguely remember this being raised before and it getting a similar reply, though not from me, but my memory may be playing me tricks.

Re: Web-Site suggestion
It might be worthwhile to have the forum "moderated" by the members who buy and sell on the forum inasmuch as having a "good trader" list posted as a result of feedback on the forum every month or so. For example, if anyone feels a trader was reliable/honest etc, to be awarded +1, and the more "points" they get....if you follow the idea.
I came across the system on another website and it appears to work very well.
Also, any traders to state that the videos/DVDs they are selling are all original copies in original cases/boxes etc. or with/without cover art etc. Not a problen with DVDs, but rather for videos.

Re: Web-Site suggestion
Yep you could have premium Traders, as suggested by BGAFD.
But dont you have to sell through a shop and not on-line?

That already applies.
The point is that we don't want too much of it in any case. The fewer posts about trading, the fewer lies about original copies.
Case closed as far as I'm concerned.
