Porn Studs acting as agents!?

In the last year or so it seems that the established porn agencies are disappearing and adult performers can only get regular work by regularly ass kissing a few select individuals who shall remain nameless on twitter.

It would be a better idea in my opinion to have a few select PROFESSIONAL agencies who supply the girls to producers and companies alike rather than the few individuals who simply only get the girls work who feed their pimp like ego! The people running the agencies should not be starring in their own productions.

Too many great looking performers and established models are given the bums rush so to speak these days, just because porn studs feel they can monopolise the producers and directors into hiring certain people.

Something has to change.....!

I have never found any agency useful as they only feed work to their main models & have never used one in my 15yrs in the industry because of their principles.

What is the difference of agency staff starring in film to an agency looking after favourites none...

We tell all models to produce their own stuff as it makes them far more independent than relying on anyone else, if it bugs you that much check out the companies who pay the agencies to make films & go to them direct if you can produce the footage in the quality they need...

There are few UK agencies because it's a very thankless task, taking the heat when models don't show, getting blamed for marking up their prices when they do show, and trying to keep model listings up to date when the models themselves don't keep in touch (the largest UK agency has 50% inaccurate listings for their models).

But studs trying to monopolise models or impose themselves upon producers doesn't work on me, and hopefully models catch on quickly that their work becomes very restricted that way.

I find the best solution is to give any model I shoot content or paid work with and proves to be reliable as many work leads as possible quite freely. It keeps the models in work and happy, and hopefully keeps them available when I have more bookings for them.

No good any more. Simply not enough work around for an agency to exist and prifit unless it combines escorting !

I've been away for a year or so but have noticed since I have started looking for models again that there definately seems to be more of these "agents" around.

The one common thread I have found with models associated with these agents/agencies (with one exception) is that they seem to have very unrealisticly high notions of what the going rate of pay is for a shoot.
Anyone else experience this?

Btw, before I get flamed to death I am not in anyway a miserly skinflint.
I am happy to pay a fair rate for a shoot along with reasonable travel expenses.

It is of course an individuals choice as to what they charge for their time, and I am not here to denegrate any individual but someone somewhere is supplying false ideas of what can be earned.
