UK Health Protocols

AITA alongside UKAP have been drawing up a set of health protocols for the UK adult industry. This will be sent out to UK Producers to review next week. Once we have feedback from the Producers it will be made public for comments from performers.

There is a long way to go in setting in place a strong health screening system for the UK adult industry, we need support from all within the industry as well as bringing in other outside resources. These are being looked in to and the cost's involved. If you wish to support this work I would ask you join AITA. Membership fee's help cover the running cost and allow us to under take these important projects for all in the UK adult industry. Membership starts at just ?50 a year for a performer and ?100 for small companies. Together we are stronger!

This is a good thing and long over due. I think the recent false positive HIV incident is a good case in point.

I'm probably alone in thinking that couldve been better handled than send a mail shot out to 2000+ people whom it had nothing to do with and just focus on the people that really needed to be located, informed and quarantined.

As I saw it, the persons name was being touted around on twitter like a trophy carcass and people were claling in for Max Clifford to get involved which totally proves my point thta people cannot handle case sensitive information like this

Critics might bleat that it was in their interest to know but once the name leaked onto the internet, there were those who flouted that information by working anyway which totally negated the purpose of that mail shot

Hopefully the new protocols will helps anyone in a similar situation know what to do as a first port of call and avoid the craziness that came out of the first incident
