Malvina's Fiona Cooper video

Has anybody else got Malvina's Fiona Cooper video number A427?
Just wondering if its just my copy that has horribly distorted sound, or whether it was a problem with all copies of this video.

Its one of the few Fiona Cooper videos I have where the girl actually speaks, and doesnt just have a classical soundtrack, so its a shame it had to be this one thats unlistenable.

Several recent FC vids have had this problem, and it seems from some of the results of complaints/returns that the problem is usually with the masters.
My A427 has poor sound-quality also.

There were some tapes that had crystal-clear sound, and others where the telly volume had to be full blast before you could catch what was being said.

Thanks for the info JJ, at least I'm not the only one.

Unfortunately, turning it up doesnt improve it in this case. You can hear it at normal volume, its just crackling and popping so badly that the unwanted noise drowns out what she's saying. Turning it up only makes the crackling unbearably loud.

Anyway, not to worry. I've watched Fiona Cooper videos for years with the sound off, so I'll just have to do the same with this one.
